make autoresize work again

sometimes the applets come to us with preferredSize() == size() already
unfortunatley, with 4.6 libplasma, this causes some "jumping around" due
to an unfortunate handling of the sizeHintChanged signal by PopupApplet,
but i have a fix for that too.(tm)
